This session will explore the powerful impact of classroom design on student behavior and learning. Participants will consider how to intentionally set up their spaces to foster a positive classroom culture. We’ll discuss room layout considerations based on instructional style and activity types as well as strategies for organizing materials so that they are accessible and aligned with specific activities. In addition, we will also examine the role of color theory and nature in creating a calming environment, and discuss visibility, managing overstimulation, and creating a classroom that reflects the ideal look, feel, and sound for both teachers and students.
