In Managing Differentiation: Tailoring Instruction for English Learners Using Benchmark Advance, we’ll cover practical ways to make Benchmark Advance lessons more accessible and impactful for English Learners. We’ll start by exploring the basics of differentiation to meet the varying language and content needs of our students. Together, we’ll dive into specific strategies for adapting Benchmark Advance lessons to support English Learners at different proficiency levels and identify scaffolding techniques that boost comprehension, engagement, and language skills. We’ll also discuss how to use assessment data to guide our differentiation efforts, ensuring we target each student’s growth areas while reinforcing their strengths. Finally, we’ll look at ways to build structured collaborative activities that encourage peer support and build English Learners’ confidence.
